How do quotes work?

A professional sends you a written quote covering the work, the timeline, the terms and the total price. You can accept it, decline it, or ask for changes — and if you ask for changes, you can compare the new version against the old one before deciding.

Can a quote change after I accept it?

No. Once you accept, that version is locked as the agreed scope. Payment is arranged directly with the professional — WorkLink does not take the money for the job. If the work needs to change, ask for a revised quote before more work starts.

What does the Verified badge actually mean?

That we have confirmed the person behind the account is who they say they are, using Stripe Identity and government-issued ID. It is optional. Unverified partners can still publish listings — the badge is a trust signal, not a requirement to trade.

What if something goes wrong with the work?

Talk to the professional first — most problems are a simple misunderstanding about what was included. If that does not sort it, open a dispute and our support team can see the full history of the job. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply in full.

You can review a professional after a job with them is marked complete. Reviews are tied to real completed work on WorkLink, which is what stops them being manufactured.

What do I need to get started?

An account and any licence or registration your trade requires. Identity verification is optional and earns the Verified badge. An ABN is optional but earns you the Verified Business badge, which matters to business customers who need a tax invoice from a known supplier.

What does WorkLink charge?

A monthly plan, if you want more than the Free tier. Free includes a public profile, three listings, enquiries and quotes. Paid plans add listings, stronger placement, advertising credit, analytics and team seats. There are no lead fees and no charge for sending quotes.

How do I get paid for the work?

Customers find you on WorkLink and you agree the job in a written quote. Payment happens between you and the customer — WorkLink does not take a cut of the invoice.

Yes, from the Pro plan upwards. Each team member verifies their identity before they can act for your business, so it is always clear who did what.

How do service areas work?

You set the states and suburbs you cover, with a radius where it makes sense. You are shown to customers in those areas, so you are not fielding enquiries three hours from your van.

What if I need to pause?

Set your availability to busy or unavailable, or turn on vacation mode with a date range. Your profile stays up and your history is intact; you simply stop appearing as available.

Use a long, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication in your security settings. Two-factor is mandatory for WorkLink staff accounts, and we recommend it for every partner account.

Quotes, messages and the history of what was agreed stay in one place, so support can see the full picture if something needs sorting. Moving the job off WorkLink loses that record.

Are prices inclusive of GST?

Yes. Prices include GST where the professional is registered for it, and the GST amount is itemised on every quote.

What if the professional is not registered for GST?

Then no GST is charged and none is shown. Plenty of sole traders trade under the registration threshold, and the price you see is the price you pay either way.

Where are my invoices?

Partner plan invoices live under Billing in Partner Hub. Invoices for the job itself come from the professional — WorkLink does not bill customers for the work.

Is my card safe if I buy a partner plan?

Yes. Partner subscriptions are handled by a billing partner. Card details are never stored by WorkLink. Customers do not pay WorkLink for the job — that settlement is between you and the professional.
