Information
How WorkLink works — and what the Assistant actually does
Customers never have to read this. It is for you: what happens when someone finds you, and what the Assistant will and will not do with their messages.
How customers hire
From search to a repeat booking
This is the path a customer takes. You show up in search, send a written quote, and win the work — WorkLink never sits in the middle of payment.
- Step 1: 1
Discover
Search professionals by trade, location and rating.
- Step 2: 2
Open the portfolio
Look at their work, then reveal a phone or email if they have published one.
- Step 3: 3
Contact them directly
Call or email. WorkLink does not broker the job or take a cut.
- Step 4: 4
Agree the work
Price, timing and payment stay between you and the professional.
- Step 5: 5
Get the job done
The work happens off-platform, the way trades already run.
- Step 6: 6
Review
After a job they can invite you to leave a review on their profile.
- Step 7: 7
Return
Save a professional you would hire again.
Coming soon
WorkLink Assistant
Paused while WorkLink is a directory. When it returns it will draft listing copy you review. It is not included as a paid plan benefit.
Drafts a reply to a new enquiry
When someone messages you, the Assistant can write a reply in the thread — something you can send as-is, edit, or ignore. On Pro and above. Nothing leaves the hub until you hit send.
Answers the questions people actually ask
Pricing ranges you already published, whether you cover a suburb, how soon you can attend. It drafts from your listing and the conversation. It does not invent a price you have not set.
Helps you quote and follow up
On Premium it can draft a written quote from the enquiry, summarise a long thread, and flag which leads are going cold. You still send the quote. You still decide the number.
Suggests who to confirm on your calendar
On Pro and above it looks at requested times and suggests who to confirm or follow up. It does not put a booking on your calendar, and it does not accept an appointment for you.
The boundary
What it does not do
If a pitch promised unsupervised replies or a calendar that books itself, that is not this product.
- Send a message, email or quote to a customer on its own. Drafts stay in Partner Hub until you send them.
- Quote a price the customer has not already seen on your listing, unless you write or approve that figure in a quote.
- Book a confirmed time into your calendar. Calendar help is a suggestion list, not a booking.
- Publish or edit a live listing. Listing help is a draft you review.
- Replace you on a job, give licensed advice, or talk to a customer while you are marked away — unless you send the draft.
Getting it going
Set-up is the Partner Hub you already have
There is no extra install. Your plan decides which tools you can ask for, and a shared monthly cap counts every draft, summary and suggestion.
Step 1
Open Partner Hub → Assistant
That is the home for usage this month, drafts, and links into Messages, Quotes, Leads, Listings and Calendar.
Step 2
Use it where the work already is
Draft a reply from a conversation, listing copy from a listing, a quote from a lead. There is no separate “turn the Assistant on” switch for talking to customers — it only runs when you ask it to.
Step 3
Automations are optional, and they do not send
Premium and Business can switch on rules such as “new lead → remind me”. Those rules create a task or a notification for you. They do not email the customer and they do not send the message.
| Plan | What the Assistant includes |
|---|---|
| Free | Coming soon. Not included as a paid plan benefit. |
| Pro | Coming soon. Not included as a paid plan benefit. |
| Premium | Coming soon. Not included as a paid plan benefit. |
| Business | Coming soon. Not included as a paid plan benefit. |
The monthly cap resets on the Sydney calendar month, not on the day you paid. Support chat on the public site is a separate help tool — it is not this Assistant, and it is not tied to a partner plan.

What a tradie actually asks
Not a pitch. The three worries that decide whether you trust software near your customers.
