Draft pending legal review
This document sets out the intended structure of WorkLink's terms. It has not yet been reviewed by an Australian legal practitioner and must not be relied on as the final agreement. Questions in the meantime go to support.
Before work begins
If you cancel before the professional has begun work, any deposit or cancellation fee set out in the accepted quote applies as agreed between you. WorkLink does not hold or refund funds for the work itself.
If the professional cancels before beginning work, you should not be charged for work that was not performed, unless the accepted quote says otherwise.
After work has begun
Where work has partly been performed, a refund reflects the work not yet done. The professional and the customer are encouraged to agree the split; where they cannot, either party may open a dispute.
Where the work is not up to standard
Australian Consumer Law guarantees that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for the stated purpose. Where a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee you may be entitled to a repair, a re-supply, or a refund, depending on whether the failure is major.
These rights sit above this policy and cannot be contracted away.
How to request a refund
Raise it with the professional through the platform first — most issues are agreed directly. If you cannot reach agreement, open a dispute from the project and our team will review the record.
Timing
Refunds for the professional's work are arranged directly between you and the professional, according to the accepted quote and Australian Consumer Law.
Partner subscription fees are billed in advance and are not refunded for a partial period.
Subscription payments
Partner subscriptions are billed in advance and are not refunded for a partial period. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
